Losing your marbles

Convince Lottie that losing your marbles is worse
then losing your balloon.

Paper Saturday link up time, spreading the love.

Welcome to another week of Paper Saturdays. Please feel free linking your art at the bottom of this post. We love to see everything you created on paper or with paper this week, let's inspire each other.

Do you sometimes have that OMG feeling because lots of things are happening but you can not speak? Well we are having one of those moments. Don't worry we will tell you more about that soon.

Our contribution to paper Saturdays
All we can say for now is that a little bird flew into Lottie's studio proclaiming his love for her. He is trying to convince her "Love is all you need" But please tell us "Is that all what she needs?"
Melanie's art
Love is a big word and we may not be sure what it means but we know what it feels like. Sometimes we look at an artist's work and we just love it we don't search for the meaning of it, it just feels right! Melanie is one of those artists. Just go and meet her because you will instantly know what it is that feels right!

Who is a pretty girl?

I have just tucked Lottie up tightly in bed, she is still complaining about that funny rash she had the other day but I reassured her all will be well. It worked she is snoring loudly.

Linking to Paint Party Friday.

I can have some peace now and get back to the drawing table. I want  to complete this bird drawing which will be part of the new project I am working on for Paper Saturdays. I can't wait for Saturday so I can show you it all. I really hope you will join us again. Both Lottie and I would love to see what art you have created this week.

Allergy to paint brushes.

Lottie seems to think she is allergic to big paint brushes. Apparently after painting the fence she said she caught some funny looking blue spots. Hmmm I wonder what they are :)

Paper Saturdays link up time, recycled glass jars.

Hello to another week of Paper Saturday. I hope you are ready to link up your gorgeous paper art again. We love to see what you have in store for us. Each week we feel more and more inspired by you. I hope you will play, just scroll down to add your art and we will be round.

What we did
I don't know about you but we have a real soft spot for candles here in Lottie's studio. We like the scented ones they can be so relaxing and get you in that creative mood. Our studio is relatively new and we don't have that many candle holders yet. Ha lucky us, lets go wild.

So I guess Paper Saturdays was the ideal opportunity for us to create some new candle holders from recycled glass jars. When you look out there, there are so many ideas to what you can do with glass jars, I guess you would definitely need to consume a lot more food.

 Supplies

Randi from Fargefest created the candle holders bellow with paper napkins from IKEA. If you click on the image it will take you to the original blogpost. I like her blog but I just wished it didn't take me to advertisements when clicking on older posts. You are warned :)

If you fancy other recycling stuff to do with glass jars we can really  recommend the book "DIY Mason Jars" by Melissa Averinos which is available on Amazon.

Now it is over to you please link your

Sketches, drawings, paintings, collages, entries in your art journal, paper dolls, paper houses, paper illustrations, paper jewellery, paper cards, painted paper boxes, you with a paper nose, paper clay, papermache etc.

Please link your blogpost to Paper Saturdays so more people are able to find us. You can play all week before a fresh linky is up next Saturday. Feel free to use the button. See you soon!

Paper Saturdays link up time, love birds

Great to see you at Paper Saturdays our weekly paper art challenge. I hope you will join us and link your art work at the bottom of this post. Grab the button too this will help others finding our weekly gatherings.

We don't have big rules here, we just want you to feel welcome and we are happy for you to include past art work as long as it includes or contains some sort of paper.

So what is Paper Artwork?
Sketches, drawings, paintings and collages on paper are all fine. Yes entries in your art journal are great too. Paper dolls, paper houses, paper illustrations, paper jewellery, paper cards, painted paper boxes, you with a paper dress on, paper clay, papermache etc.

My entry for today is something you may like to do on a free afternoon with the children. These paper birds are extremely easy to make and look wonderful as table decorations or you may make a garland out of them. What do you think?

 Supplies

Every week we feature work from other artists too. I think that gets our inspiration juices flowing even more and this weeks I have chosen some fabulous free stuff for kids and the big kids under you. All stuff you see below is free just click on the picture bellow it takes you to their downloads or you may want to read their blog here.

Oh and one more thing just before you link up Melissa is running a great giveaway at het blog. Hop over and check it out

And now it is over to you remember you can link your art all week!

Hey guys just a little update I finished that crochet cushion and it is now proudly on display in my studio.

Crochet is a bit like sketching

Sometimes it is wonderful to swap the colour pencils for crochet needles. The sun was shinning bright today, there was a slight breeze but it was warm enough to sit in a sheltered spot in the garden between the pots of fresh thyme and blooming lavender.

I am a bit rusty with the old crochet needle and once I was sat down I was too lazy to get up for a pattern. So my intentionally perfect circle turned into a not so perfectly circle. Now hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow so I can redo the whole thing. If you want to know how to make a perfect circle you can find some tips  here. The site is in Dutch but there is a translate button at the top. It may safe you from having to get up once sat down.
